A 67-acre conservation community on County Highway F, with a groundwater-filled former quarry lake, walking trails, and wooded homesites — minutes from Fish Creek and the western edge of Peninsula State Park. Phase I offers 12 homesites now, with 17 more to follow in Phase II.
The Grove is planned as a Dark Sky–compliant community: lighting designed to keep the night sky over Door County as clear as the lake at its center.
This is what Door County feels like when you stay longer than a weekend.
The lake at the center of The Grove was a quarry once, stone pulled slowly from the earth over generations. Groundwater filled it in time, and time made it something else entirely — clear, calm, still.
A paddle before breakfast. A swim when the day calls for it. An evening on the water with nowhere else you need to be.
Fish Creek is minutes away — the harbor, the galleries, the fish boil, the whole of it. The Grove is the other direction. Into the trees. Quiet in the way Door County rewards when you finally stop moving.
You don't go to get away. You go to stay.

Every home at The Grove begins with a designer who understands this place. We've brought together a small collective of architectural designers — each with their own voice, each drawn to the way a home can sit quietly inside the land. Choose a plan, then shape it into your own.
Led by Meghan Hawkins — a registered architect, Certified Passive House designer, and licensed general contractor — Evolve begins every home with a question: how do we build for a changing climate, for comfort, for health, for the legacy a home leaves behind? Plan sets and fully custom homes, as considered beneath the surface as they are above it.
Tim Raduenz founded Form One in 2005, and its custom work moves easily between traditional and modern. Born and raised in northern Wisconsin, Tim still spends his summers in the Midwest — and that feel for the place shows. Every home starts collaboratively, shaped around how a family actually wants to live.
HereAbout designs homes made for belonging — thoughtful, welcoming, and built to bring people together. Founder Holly Mumford works in plan sets: considered, ready-to-build designs like The 3/4 Cabin, The Hangout, and The Wind Down, drawn for the way weekends stretch into weeks here.
Kate Smith, creative director of The Grove, is your guide through the whole of it — from choosing an architect and builder to the hundreds of finishes that turn a plan into a home. Think of her as an on-call design lead, there for as much or as little as you need.
You came back every summer. Now you never have to leave.
